Revolt of the Flesh

The exhibition was subtitled “Dialogues Brazil-Japan”. It embraced the meeting of events and reflections that had its beginning in 1959, in Japan and Brazil, inspired by the butoh movement and the neo-concrete manifest. The title of the exhibition recalls Tatsumi Hijikata’s (1928-1986) performance, one of the creators of butoh. In addition to the exhibition, seminars and films completed the event.
