Le Socle des Vertiges

Le Socle des Vertiges is a fictional story, set in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, as a  metaphor for the impact of colonialism on the country. Two brothers, Fido and Dido, are tested, as their family experiences a breakdown sparked by the death of their father, Joachim. The narrative tackles issues such as territoriality, identity, and what it means to belong somewhere. The play is the first piece of a trilogy (also composed by Shéda and Nkenguegi) about the refugee crisis, which emphasizes how rich countries are shirking their responsibilities.
